I have been a Macintosh owner and user since 1984.  I like, with varying levels of enthusiasm, Macintosh OS in its various denominations.  I like the former simplicity and effectiveness of the Macintosh platform.  I am an Apple customer on iOS as well.  While I have disagreed with Apple decisions in the past, I am particularly disturbed by Apple's recent attempt to call at best prosumer products, professional products and by their continued abandonment of the professional creatives marketplace.

When DXO announced the DXO ONE, I wrote a scathing article asking if the superb software company had lost their mind.  Who would pay upwards of $600 for a camera that plugged into the Lightning port on an iPhone?  It's over a year later and the DXO ONE is now becoming readily available in the Canadian market.  Let's see how it fares.

I was recently doing a long term evaluation on Sony's awesome PXW-FS7 video camera and wanted to see how using my Canon L series glass on the camera would work out.  There are many mount converters available to mount alternate brand lenses on the Sony E mount, but the only one that said it would provide both complete aperture control as well as Autofocus was the Speedbooster Ultra from Metabones.
